Our standard pricing for comprehensive developmental editing starts at $0.37 per word. We realize how steep this price can be for new authors. We take 25% up front, 50% once the novel has been 50% completed, and the remaining 25% that is due before the final edits are sent back. Our standard turn around time for a 130k word novel is 1.5 to 2 months. Once all the edits are completed we go over the edits with you via video conference as a final wrap-up for your novel.
Once we have completed your novel you will be given resources to help guide you in the future to help improve your storytelling. We also have discounted rates for return clients. However, our goal is to provide you with the tools and the guidance so that you no longer need us. We work on improving our clients strengths and overcoming their weaknesses.
For a general overview and analysis our starting rates are $120 for 80k words.
Our general overview and analysis of your novel will be similar to a beta read. We provide an overview of what was done well and what needs work in certain areas.
Our comprehensive developmental edit includes comprehensive notes on continuity issues, repetitiveness, character arcs, pacing, flow of your novel, and much more.
